Islamic Terrorist Attacks

Islam Session Thirty-Nine

Item #9:  Islamic Terrorist Attacks

According the Religion of Peace  website there have been more than 30,000 terrorist attacks committed in the fifteen years, 2001-2015, in the name of Allah.  The 30,069 attacks, chronicled on their website, have resulted in 187,273 killed and 265,214 injured.  (

It is shocking to realize that this is the casualty toll for only fifteen years out of fourteen centuries of Islamic terrorism.  Also, on that same website is a list of 78 Islamic terrorist attacks on American soil from 4/14/1972 through 12/2/2015 which took 3,127 lives and injured 1,706.  (

It is important to note that only incidents of deadly violence that were reasonably determined to have been committed out of religious duty, as interpreted by the perpetrators, are included in the lists.

Muslims will deny that these attacks are motivated by religious (Islamic) convictions and sanctioned by Allah, Muhammad, or the Koran.  However the evidence is irrefutable that they are, in fact, committed in the name of Allah, for the glory of Allah and the goal of establishing Islam world-wide.

On the Religion of Peace website is a list of more than 100 Islamic terrorists proclaiming that their heinous crimes are committed in the name of Allah.  Below are a few excerpts from that list:

  • “I am one of the servants of Allah. We do our duty of fighting for the sake of the religion of Allah.  It is also our duty to send a call to all the people of the world to enjoy this great light and to embrace Islam and experience the happiness in Islam . . .  Our primary mission is nothing but the furthering of this religion.”
    Osama bin Laden, May 1998
  • “We are working until we make Allah’s religion supreme . . . We are plotting for the Chinese to suffer the torture of Allah, or else by our hands.”
Abdul Haq, leader of the Turkistan Islamic Party, which took credit for the hacking to death of 33 commuters at a Chinese train station.
  • “They were truthful with Allah and Allah granted victory upon their hands and cast terror into the hearts of the crusaders . . . All praise, grace and favor belong to Allah.”
Statement released by the caliphate, taking credit for the November 13, 2015 Paris massacre.
  • “As Muslims, we don’t believe in states, borders, and embassies, and most certainly not in Israel’s right to exist. We have to focus on imposing the rule of Islam wherever we are, to signal to the infidels that their support of the enemy is useless.”
Abu al-Ayna al-Ansari, a leader of a Salafi group in the Gaza Strip that is allied with Islamic State ideology.
  • “It’s a religious war with those who are unbelievers in the mission of Muhammad . . . especially for the purpose of advancing Islam and repelling evil from Muslims.”
Abu Jindal Hamza explaining why he helped slaughter 166 people in Mumbai, India.
  • “There are hundreds of other (Koranic) psalms and hadiths urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war?  I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.”
    The Ayatollah Khomeini  (Iran)
  • “The Prophet, the master of the merciful has ordered to cut off the heads of some of the prisoners of Badr in patience. He is our example and a good role model.”
Abu Muasa’b al-Zarqawi speaking moments before beheading an abducted American businessman; and citing Muhammad’s example at the battle of Badr in 624. (Iraq)
  • “I am proud and honored to be a terrorist for the sake of Allah . . . This is Islamic religious law. I don’t invent anything.  I follow Islamic religious law in this.”
Umm Nidal, a woman who sent her six sons on suicide missions against Jewish civilians. (Israel)
  • “Today Almighty Allah has given us victory against Christian Churches in Kaduna and Zaria which led to the deaths of many Christians . . . “
A Boko Haram spokesman who went on to quote the Quran to explain why the group bombed churches, killing many Christians, including children.  (Nigeria)
  • “Know that I am doing this martyrdom operation only for the sake of Allah and for his religion.”
A 21-year-old member of al-Shabaab and former British college student who murdered 20 Africans. (Somalia)
  • “Allah, may he be praised, said . . . “Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they have driven you out; for internal strife (Fitna) is worse than killing.”
The Qur’anic verse quoted by the Abu Hafs Al-Masri Brigades in explaining the murder of 202 Madrid train commuters.   (Spain)
  • “The Mujahedeen are proud to kill in the name of God and this is exactly what God told us to do in the Quran.”
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the “underwear bomber” who tried to down an airplane over Detroit – speaking at his sentencing.
  • “(The United States Government) openly acknowledges that it would hate for the law of Almighty Allah to be the supreme law of the land. Is that a war on Islam?  You bet it is.”
Major Nidal Hasan, the Army psychiatrist who gunned down thirteen people at Fort Hood, Texas.
  • “The attack by the Islamic State in America is only the beginning of our efforts to establish a willyah (Islamic territory) in the heart of our enemy. Allah, those who fight you, and kill them wherever you find them.”
Statement by ISIS following the shooting massacre at San Bernardino.
  • “Remember: it is a raid for the sake of Allah.  Recite the prayer.  As you take the seat, recite the prayer.  Mention Alllah a lot.  When the hijacking begins, shout ‘ Allah is great’ because this shout strikes terrors in the hearts of the infidels.”
“And the moment of death should be accompanied by the basic statement of belief recited by all Muslims at the call to prayer.  Seconds before the target, your last words should be, ‘there is no god but Allah.  Mohammed is his messenger!.’ “
    Written instructions to the hijackers.
  • “Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar!  Allah Akbar!”
Last words from the cockpit of flight 93.

Below are brief descriptions of selected Muslim terrorist attacks since 1972:

  • Berlin Olympics, 1972:  During the 1972 Olympic Games in Berlin a group of Muslim terrorists known as “Black September” killed eleven members of the Israeli Olympic team and one West German policeman.  Black September was formed in 1970 by a faction of Fataw (see session #36) for the purpose of avenging the loss of Jordan and committing terrorist acts against Israel.  It was dissolved in 1974.
  • September 11, 2001:  On September 11, 2001 Muslim terrorists hijacked and crashed four American commercial airliners, killing 2,976 and injuring hundreds.  Fifteen of the nineteen Muslim hijackers were citizens of Saudi Arabia.  Al-Qaeda and Osama bin-Laden took credit for planning the suicide crashes.
  • Somalia Pirates:   Since 2008 the Somali Pirates have attacked hundreds of ships and collected millions of dollars in ransom money.  These attacks have occurred off the Somalia coast and as far away as the Indian Ocean.  Often portrayed as poor fishermen protecting their country, these Somali Pirates are, in fact, Islamic jihadists.

According to Robert Spencer this piracy is a lucrative source of funding for jihad.  A group of jihadists in Somalis known as Al-Shabaab use the ransom money to fund their jihad activities.  Al-Shabaab has links to al-Qaeda, advocates strict application of Sharia law, and controls  virtually all of Somalia’s coastline.  In an April 2008 statement, al-Shabaab vowed to “throw the West into hell.”  (

  • Fort Hood: 11/5/2009:  November 6, 2009 Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 30 others on Fort Hood, Texas.  Major Hasan, a United States Army Psychiatrist and a Muslim was heard to shout “Allah Akbar” as he began his  murderous fire.  Several aspects of this outrageous incident border on absurdity and insanity:
    • Soldiers on Fort Hood were unarmed in accordance with orders from their Commander in Chief,
    • This murderous rampage was classified by higher authority as a “Workplace Violence” incident,
    • It was known that Hasan had ranted at combat veterans; calling them “war criminals” and threatening prosecution for killing Taliban and other terrorists,
    • Hasan’s communications with al-Qaeda were excused as research,
    • Hasan received his full military pay until September, 2013. This amounted to approximately $300,000 for the 46 months from shooting to conviction.

This murderous act involving a “peaceful” Muslim illustrates an inexcusable denial of the threat that Islam poses to all non-Muslims.  And culpability resides at the highest level of the U.S. government.

  • Benghazi, Libya, 9/11/2012:  Beginning the night of September 11, 2012 and continuing for eight hours, approximately 150 Muslim terrorists attacked the U.S. Special Mission Compound (”SMC”) and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya.  The attackers killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

Since then, Defense Department documents have revealed that the SMC was involved in shipping weapons to Syrian rebels trying to overthrow the regime of Bashar al-Assad.  The weapons had been obtained when the regime of Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown in October, 2011.  At least 400 tonnes of weapons are known to have been shipped to Syria.

For several months prior to the attack additional security was requested by SMC personnel, but none was provided.  Then- secretary of State, Hillary Clinton , when questioned at the senate foreign relations committee inquiry in January 2013 as to why four Americans died made this infamous response:  “What difference does it make”.  In revealing her true attitude toward the atrocity she guaranteed more in-depth inquiries into the matter, and the role she played in it.

  • San Bernardino, December 2, 2015: A Muslim terrorist couple burst into the Inland Regional Center (a county facility for people with developmental disabilities) in San Bernardino, California and killed fourteen people in a murderous barrage of gunfire the morning of December 2, 2015.  Also, 22 people were wounded/injured in the attack.

Syed Farook  (an American-born citizen) and his wife, Tashfeen Malik (a Pakistani-born alien legally living in the U.S.) had expressed their commitment to jihadism and martyrdom in messages  to each other.  They had amassed a huge stockpile of weapons and ammunition in preparation for the attack.  They had been married in Saudi Arabia.

No other group or cause rivals Islam for acts of violence in furtherance of their goals.  The more than 30,000 terrorist attacks committed in the fifteen year period 2001-2015 by Muslims in the name of Allalh demonstrate Islam’s determination to rule the world.  Unless the non-Muslim world wakes up and sheds their veil of denial Islam may realize its goal.
